I went to Provincetown in Cape Cod for a long weekend last week. Although Provincetown may have the reputation of a party town at night, there is more to explore in Ptown.
It was a beautiful summer weather during my visit. I spent some time under the sun including at the Herring Cove beach, and in the pool at the Provincetown Inn. Thanks Steve for showing me the path to the Herring Cove beach and hanging out with me there. I also hiked through the rocky jetty to check out the long point light house. There is something about the beach, the grass, and the light house. It’s very peaceful.
There are some good restaurants in Provincetown. I ate at the Bubala’s, Mews, Ten Table, Cafe Heaven, and Victor’s. My friend Matt and Jun brought me to Victor’s every afternoon for its happy hour. I just couldn’t resist its fresh raw oysters and clams. Besides beach and food, walking around Provincetown was fun and interesting. I did check out the bars and clubs in the evening following my friends. It’s not my thing since I don’t drink or dance. I did have a fun time doing people watching!
On my way home, I stopped by the airport and said good-bye to my cop friend Glenn. I followed the suggestion from Sharon, who is a student in my Yoga class, and stopped by Wellfleet for lunch. I tasted the famous Wellfleet oysters and littleneck clams. Simple and tasty. I am glad I got to explore Cape Cod this summer!
It seems you like Ptown so much because you just explored 2 months ago. The weather in July must be warmer and good to walk around and enjoy raw oysters and clams(no lobster this time?). Except wine and beer tasting,I admire the way of your life. Have you ever visited Newport,RI?
Got a lobster omelett for lunch on the first day. 🙂 Yes for the visit to Newport. It’s a very nice place. Might visit it again sometime!
Hi Justin.
We met today at the foot of the tower at Mount Auburn Cemetery today. I love these shots of P’town. Great work!
Hi Greg,
Thanks for saying hello! Feel free to browse the pictures in 2011. There are some fun pictures from the around-the-world trip. See you at one of the events !
