The interesting thing about owning a house is, there is no end to what you can do with it. Over the summer, my friend Glen has been working on refreshing my garden and planting things that will look nice. It’s about time for me to find a professional to do it! He trimmed bushes and plants, rearranged plants, and created a new garden after he pulled the roses off from the garden next to the drive way. He even put together some fall plant buckets in front of driveway. It looks really nice. We also hang out sometime, and he cooked well. 🙂
When I was cleaning my humidifier attached to my heater, a water valve broke, and the shut-off valve was not working properly. A friend Eric came over first to put a temporary cap to prevent the dripping of the water. And thanks my friend Doug came to rescue again. He helped to understand what is broken in the humidifier and we ordered the part. I got the part 2 weeks ago and replaced it myself. It works! I am very proud of myself!
Since the winter is approaching, I decided to hire someone to clean my air duct. When the heat comes up, hopefully the air will be cleaner. The operation is very interesting, with a big vacuum cleaner from their truck sucking the air through the main duct. It’s fun to watch!
Last but not least, my neighbor Jim came over and helped me fix my lawn mower just this morning. Since I hired someone to mow my lawn now, I don’t get to use it this year. I was thinking about selling it, until I found out that I couldn’t get it started this summer. Jim knows what he is doing. He spent less than 10 minutes figuring out what’s wrong (a broken fuse that was replaced recently, and the need to charge the battery). I spent a couple of hours already to try to figure out what is happening. Thanks Jim!!!
Wow! You are lucky to have many good friends on your side. Beautiful house, good job, skating and Yoga, enjoy good food and travelling, going concerts,…, made you are the luckiest man. I don’t know there is anything else(no alcohol) you need to pursuit in your life. Just arrived Vancouver late eveing on Oct.26. The weather is getting bad from now on. Only good thing is: no need to mow the lawn for next 4 months. Happy Halloween!
Thanks for saying hello, uncle! I hope you will have a fun time in Vancouver. Hopefully the hurricane won’t be too bad for us here in the east coast… Have a good weekend!
