It has been a while since I posted a note. What happened since the last time?
I am so glad that I finished my only skating competition this year in March. I didn’t do as well as I would like to (the 2nd place). It did motivate me to work harder. Especially, I should work on skating more freely on ice. It’s all good! And now I am back to training with Edouard.
I finally got a portable generator. I had an electrician to wire an outlet outside of the house to the main electrical panel. Instead of a transfer switch, I put in an interlock plate. As a safety measure, I can only turn on the main power, or use the portable generator. Now I am ready for out of power – hopefully it won’t happen often. The interlock plate looks pretty neat!
I just returned from a business trip to Portland, Oregon. I went to a nice, small Italian restaurant after an internal conference at Intel (I did a presentation on improving efficiency of the product development). It’s a cute place and the food was fantastic. The decoration in the restaurant is neat too. There are soccer shirts nailed on the ceiling. Let me share some pictures here. Oh, and I got a cupcake from my favorite cupcake place in Portland. My guilty pleasure!
When I came home from my trip, my garden helper Sam almost finished edging and mulching the garden. He has been a great help and the lawn looks great. Spring is here for sure!
