For a lot of people, the Memorial Day is marking the beginning of the summer. The weather this year is warmer than usual. It feels like summer has started early.
I took the advantage of a no-skating weekend and made a trip to Provincetown in May. I took the first weekend ferry of the season and enjoyed the 90 minutes ride from Boston to P-town. Thanks Matt and Jun for hosting me at their vacation home. The lodging can be very pricy there. Since they are familiar with the p-town, I just tagged along for the one night visit. They fed me very well – we went to a couple of restaurants. I had lobster omelette for brunch, raw oysters and clams for the happy hour in the afternoon, and a roasted duck for dinner. Yum! They took the ferry back to Boston with me. And a new friend I met in P-town Glenn stopped by at the pier in P-Town while on duty in his police SUV, and said good bye. That’s very nice of him!
This Memorial Day weekend, I spent time with a new friend Daren at a gymnastic gym. Daren is a gymnastic coach for more than 20 years of experience. He was very generous of showing me some moves in the gym. He even coached me to do a front tuck on the floor after using the pit and the bouncing track. He is great – thanks Daren! I look forward to learning more gymnastic skills with Daren.
I also made a trip to Fitzwilliam, NH and visited my friend Chris. We hung out at his family’s beach at a pond pond. His family was very nice and friendly. It was a relaxing visit and nice way to kick off the summer.
