I just arrived in Berlin and am waiting for my single room to be available at the Circus hostel. An Uganda man who now lives in Berlin helped me get the bus ticket to go to Berlin. The transportation here is pretty convenient. Free Wifi here at the hostel! My plan is to take a nice shower, do my laundry while reading the tour guide, and explore the city after lunch. It’s a bit chilly, about 60F. Good for walking around. The first impression about Berlin is pretty layback. Oh, room is ready. It’s nice.
After I finished the laundry (fresh clothes smell really good…), I went to get a haircut next to the hostel. The challenging part was communicating what I wanted. The haircut was fine. Now I feel like a human again. 🙂 I then just walked around the neighborhood. And found a place recommended by the Lonely Planet tour book for dinner. Braised ox and a salad. It hit the right spot since I didn’t have much to eat the whole day. Looking into what I might do tomorrow.
Does the Circus Hostel have anything to do with the flying trapeze and all that? Or just a name for a plaza where several streets converge? From your pix, it looks like the latter.
It’s FALL here! A few trees are starting to shed leaves in Western Mass. It will be crisp when you return.
Hm…. I actually don’t know why they named place Circus hostel. It is pretty busy here although my rooms quiet. When I come home, I should see some good colors form the fall!
Just catching up while watching the Patriots first game of the season with Kyle – remember the Patriots? They’re winning – 4th qtr. The ferry accident is so sad and so symbolic of the crossing back from the wilds of Africa – you’re doing great, Justin.
Bought a groupon for Bikram yoga in Hudson – boy, talk about tough love yoga but I did the whole 90 minutes. Enjoy!
Ah… American football! I decided not to play fantasy football this year. I did forget about the season has started. Thanks for reminding me! I hope you drank enough of water doing Bikram yoga.
Vilkommen!
You will have many stories to tell. I hope to hear some of them.
Sure! Let’s find a chance to meet and catch up after I am back.
Those are giant hunks of oxtail!
Just the meat, not tail… And no more balls! 🙂
