After the delay in Bangkok, I have arrived in Kenya. Made two new friends with a New Zealand boy and his mom in Bangkok. A local who sat next to me in the plane shared Nairobi with me. I feel better with Kenya now. After a taxi ride to the hotel, I got settled and attended the 6pm orientation with 20 or so of group members. Got my Dutch roommate Marty to share the room with. Some of us went to a restaurant for dinner. It is famous for it’s meat selections. Besides some beef, lamb, and chicken, I also tried ostrich meat balls, camel meat, crocodile meat, and ox balls. 🙂 Boy, I am in Kenya now. Not sure how much Internet access I will have. I will post another note whenever I can. Looking forward to the trip to Tanzania tomorrow.
Wow! Chef’s zebra apron, ostrich, camel, crocodile…amazing bbq…,all prove you are really in Africa.
Your meat selections concern me! ++++LDL!!!
It’s the time to experiment with different meats!
Hey Justin,
We also ate at Carnivore when we were in Nairobi. It was an awesome meal. How much did you eat before raising the surrender flag? I totally agree about skipping the ox balls next time.
Hey, you know the place! I didn’t know about it since I just arrived in Nairobi. I ate more than what I should! 🙂
