After I checked in to a hostel today (lodging during Oktoberfest is tough; I had to book two separate places in Munich), I went to do my laundry. It’s another day with a light rain. Lots of places are not open on Monday. I decided to go back to the Oktoberfest. No, it’s not because of the drinking. I didn’t have the chance to explore the festival ground. There are lot of things to see. For example, the decoration of the beer halls can be very interesting, depending on the theme of the hall or the company/family that operates it. Or, some food stands can have amazing decorations as well. Lots of food or snacks as well. In addition to pork shank, in two days, I have had grill chicken and grill river red trout for meals there. The food is fitting the theme of Bavarian, which is fun!
I am going to take a train in an hour to Zurich, to start my trip in Switzerland. Besides Zurich, I “think” most of the trip will be more related to nature, compared to cities of Germany and Austria. I will find out soon – I have been surprised whatever I go to a new place. Talk to you soon in Switzerland.
I have ever been Paulaner’s beer houses in Taipei and Shanghai. But Oktoberfest Munich is the real wonderland to me. I like the grill river red trout!
Uncle, you know Taiwanese are serious about seafood. The trout was very tasty, exceeding my expectation!
