I walked around Porto before I drove back to Lisbon. There are lots of interesting buildings to browse in Porto. The drive back to Lisbon was uneventful. I was really happy that I brought my car back to the rental car center in one piece! I drove about 1500 km, which is about more than 932 miles in 5 days of driving. That’s a lot of travel!
I spent the rest of the afternoon, before dinner, to do some shopping. There are a couple of things that I would like to bring home. I got them all, after some searching and browsing in Porto and in Lisbon. Mission accomplished! Since I didn’t have any plan to hit any tourist spots, I actually visited a couple of places unexpectedly, such as the Elevadar De Santa Justa. It’s high up there but a wonderful view of the city.
I went to Sacramento, a restaurant for dinner, following the recommendation by the hotel. Mussels, duck, and chocolate mouse are wonderful. It’s a good day finding all the things I want, having a great meal, and returning the rental car! 🙂
Going home tomorrow… This is a great last minute trip to Portugal. I am ready to go home!
Great ending! Have a pleasing flight to Boston!
