It seems like there is a theme every day! Woke up feeling a little bit better. Went to get some sticky rice and rice milk for breakfast. I was surprised that the vendor of the sticky rice is still at the same spot 20 or so years later. It’s a beautiful day – blue sky and white clouds. I went to give the gondola a try again today. The route was longer and the height was further up than I thought. At certain parts, it felt like a Disney ride. Well, I held on the rail inside the cart. Forgot that I was not that exciting about height. I had a good time though. When I got to the end of the ride, it was lunch time. Found this place that took a little bit hike in the mountain, and had salt and pepper river shrimps, stir fried sweet potato leaves, and steam buns made with purple yum, lavender, and other mountain vegetables for lunch. It was a good find. I also got a cat keeping me company for lunch. I think she was more interested in the shrimps than me. 🙂 Also posted a short video from the mountain. In addition to the view, you can hear the sound of summer. I love it!
Love the colorful food, the cute kitty, and the familiar cicadas of Taiwanese summer!
I almost forgot the sound of cicadas. It really brings back the memory of summer when I was a kid.
