Justin's Journey

Following my new tradition, I hosted a little Super Bowl party and invited a couple of friends over. Matt is the first one showed up. He was also here last year. It’s a low-key kind of party. I asked everyone to wear sweat pants and t-shirt. So we could all be comfortable, eat some good food, and watch the game. Doug showed up later. All 3 of us jumped into the hot tub before the game started. It was nice to be soaked in the hot tub while the snow falling down. The first half of the game was a bit boring. Mark showed up for the second half of the game. It was more entertaining in the second half. Honestly, since Patriots didn’t participate in the Super Bowl this year, I didn’t care about the game too much. It’s kind of relaxing this way!

This past weekend, we got a big snow storm called Nemo in the Northeast. Boy, my yard was clear and in less than two days, I got at least 2 feet of snow. The state issued a travel ban from 4pm on Friday to 4pm on Saturday. There was nothing to do but staying in. I got the fireplace going, watched the TV, read a book, and just relaxed. What a nice way to enjoy the snow day. I am also glad I didn’t lose power this time! After the storm came to the end, I went out around noon and started shoveling. Fortunately, the snow was not heavy. Although the amount of snow was significant, I put on my headset and started digging.

I also got my dinning table ready for the Chinese New Year dinner party tomorrow. There will be a small group of people joining in. After the shoveling today, having a big meal sounds fun. I will use another post for the Chinese New Year dinner. Happy Chinese New Year!
