Tanzania is amazing!

It’s a long ride to Tanzania but relaxing on day 1. Boarder crossing was very different than I thought. We didn’t know how things work, and followed the local tour guide Patrick worked really well. We picnicked at the road side for lunch on day one with the help from every one. Folks were impressed with my skill of cutting avocado. 🙂 The rest of the meals were prepared by the chief, but everyone did dishes and flapped the dishes by hands to dry them. Living in the tent wasn’t too bad. I even taught a daily morning yoga with a couple of folks. Day 2 was visiting the local tribe and interacted with the local people. It was a very different experience. I am looking forward to the following couple of days. No Internet access and no power. We will be camping in the wild in the national park with the animals around us. I hope to post something after this segment of the trip via the 4×4 jeep! Oh, finally showered with hot water after 2 days into the trip. My tent mate and I agreed not to showered last night so we can use the hot shower at this camp tonight. I smelled ok although he smelled like bug spay. At least I didn’t get any bite bite. 🙂 I also tasted the local banana beer the traditional way, drinking from the same mug with the local people. It’s a way of sharing. My trip mates were laughing pretty hard since I don’t really drink, and I dared to drink from the shared mug with the local folks. And I feel ok! Talk to you in a couple of days.

    Hey Justin,
I just found out that there’s a mini-golf in Lancaster. Let’s do that when you return. Would be fun! 😉

I like that picture of you standing in the desert and working with that tool. Some of this reminds me of these photos remind me of the show “Survivor!”
So cool you are using your cooking and yoga skills on this trip, even if you don’t have your skates!

I was practicing carving a piece of wood. Not very good with it!
